The Wildwood City website is vague in communicating the approval process for residents to removed trees on their property. Wildwood's Code Enforcement Officer states a "Municipal Zoning Approval" permit is required to remove any tree, including trees planted by owners including those that are dead or diseased.
Searching the website, the only reference found for residents, not Developers, is in Chapter 215 of the Municipal Code. In Section 215.130 under Article III: Special Regulations for Weeds, Grass and Noxious Growth - Death and Decaying Trees, it states all dead or decaying trees and all trees infected by a disease shall be promptly taken down and removed from the premises by the owner (abbr of 215.130). No mention of a permit required for dead trees.
Neighborhood trustees are not aware of this requirement nor HOA management companies. Please provide clear instructions on the Wildwood City website for residents to follow for the correct process of residential tree removal.

A large number of people with work-from-home jobs spend their days at Bread Company or Starbuck's. It may be that they do not have suitable Internet access at home or they simply like the social aspect of these places, as well as the accessability and constant supply of coffee and other food and beverage items. Imagine now if these establishments added a section of telecommuter stations that provided some basic working privacy and some separation from patrons that are not there to work. The establishment could rent the space on an ad-hoc or first-come-first-served basis for $10 per day, including house coffee. This would make it fair for the establishment for people to spend their day occupying space. It would give other telecommuters another option from working from home even if just one day per week to help break up their week or to have some social interaction. It should also generate some incremental business for the establishment that it might not otherwise enjoy.

Add trail or join sidewalks to stretch of Old State Road from Ridge Road to Old State Spur. This would allow hundreds of residents ability to walk/cycle to trails, friends/family in nearby neighborhoods and to school. This would support healthy lifestyle and improve community spirit. 5PM Tuesday after the storm. Wildwood roads are a mess. Ballwin SIDE STREETS, are clean wet pavement. We're talking side side streets here. I would suggest hiring people that know how to plow. Had a guy in a lawn care truck yesterday took out part of a yard, stopped, said he didn't know where he was, backed up and left. Even Old Manchester is a mess. Turning into Villages, highsided my car.

Consistent with the City of Wildwood vision statement, the city should add Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) in a couple of prominent locations in the Wildwood Town Center. The Type 2 EVSE's are 240V and typically fully charge electric vehicles (Tesla, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, and many other vehicles) in under 4 hours. However, most EV drivers need far less time to "top off" between trips. Adding EVSE's will demonstrate the City's commitment to the environment as well attract additional business to the Town Center. The EVSE's--if available for public use--can be displayed on various web sites and electric vehicle manufacturer's navigation systems to attract users. More info on EVSE as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charging_station . I suggest the Town Center as a starting point. If successful, other locations could also benefit.

THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL MORE INCIDENTS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS & NEIGHBORS HITTING DEER AND HAVING VERY CLOSE CALLS . ANY SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT CAN BE DONE. DO YOU THINK MORE STREET LIGHTS OR MAYBE REDUCING THE SPEED WOULD HELP. A CHANGE IS NEEDED ON THAT ROAD. I HATE TO SEE ANY MORE LIVES LOST .

I wonder if changing the logo of the city is a wise move? The logo of Wildwood is unique and represents the spirit of the city. I've lived here for 12 years and I love it. Did we poll the voters about this? And, BTW, changing the logo is not going to attract any new business - expectation of profit is. I wonder if spending tens of thousands of dollars just to get a marketing company to suggest that we change a logo is really worth the expense? Rather than spending tax dollars on such frivolity, I would like to see Wildwood spend the money on someone charged with capturing the actual business. In my company, we have a Sales person doing that daily. We don;t waste time updating our business cards - we go to the customers.
