From Everyone at Wildwood City Hall

The Mayor, City Council Members, and Wildwood team members would like to extend to all residents and their families a very Happy Thanksgiving Holiday and wish. In Wildwood, we all have much to be thankful for and it is especially appropriate to be thankful for all of our active service personnel and first responders who never have, nor will, rest in the protection of your country, State, and City. Let us all toast these protectors of freedom at this time of thanksgiving and know, together, we make America the beacon of hope it has been since the first pilgrims set foot here in search of a better life and freedom.

Wildwood Frozen Feet Half Marathon Trail Run

OK Readers - Pay Attention to this One!!

The 7th Annual Wildwood Frozen Feet Half Marathon Trail Run is scheduled for January 21, 2017. This popular run starts and finishes at LaSalle Springs Middle School and covers 13.1 miles of beautiful Wildwood trails! This run has become one of the top rated trail runs in the St. Louis Metro Area and has filled to capacity the last three years. The  race is capped at three hundred (300) participants at the present time and over 230 runners have registered already. You will not find a better trail running value than the Wildwood Frozen Feet Trail Run!! Organizers wanted to put on a quality trail running event that was challenging, fun, and affordable ….. and that has been accomplished.

An unbelievable trail run, plenty of food and drink, finisher medals for everyone crossing the finish line, a wonderfully warm and comfortable hooded sweatshirt, and awards to the top three finishers in each of the five year age groups!! The run is doable by runners of any experience level, but will  present a subtle challenge to those wanting to be competitive! Runners will pass aid stations seven (7) times on the course, where water will be available, but if you want/require special needs, come self-contained! January 21, 2017 seems to be a long way off, but registration recently opened and a large number of veteran Frozen Feet runners immediately registered!! Needless to say, the event will likely fill long before 2017 even arrives!!!

So, if you are interested, register at your first opportunity. Registration can be done online at http://register.chronotrack.com/r/23865 or go to the Big River Running Company Website. Paper applications are also available and can be mailed to Wildwood City Hall, 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040. The Wildwood Frozen Feet Half Marathon Trail Run is a great event for those just breaking into trail running or doing their first half marathon. On the flip side, it is a fast, challenging course for the veteran trail runners wanting to be competitive. Put Frozen Feet on your calendar and register now! Questions? Call Gary at 636-458-0440.

Fox Creek Road Bridge Replacement Project
ROAD CLOSURE Information

The City’s contractor, Krupp Construction, is making good progress on the bridge replacement project that is located on Fox Creek Road, south of State Route 100.
