The market be open every Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon), and is located in Town Center Area of the City, along Plaza Drive, west of Fountain Place (you can type the parking garage address 216 Plaza Drive into your favorite navigation app to help you find it). The market will run from May 29, 2021 to October 2, 2021. Be sure to follow the Wildwood Farmers Market on Facebook to see the weekly list of vendors that will be attending it, learn more about the vendors and their specialties, and receive other updates about its fun and educational activities. They're Educational and Fun!
Next Coffee is Thursday, July 1, 2021 @ 7:30 a.m.Coffee with the Mayor will accommodate in-person attendance at City Hall on July 1, 2021. In-person attendance is allowed within the Community Room, where the Coffee is held, but the number of allowable attendees will be based upon maintaining a minimum social distance of six (6) feet. Social distancing will continue to be practiced by those in attendance, until further notice. If you prefer to participate from your home, a virtual option, via Zoom, will also be available. If you would like to participate via Zoom, you will need to sign up in advance to receive the invitation to attend the Virtual Coffee with the Mayor (see the link below). << COVID-19 Operational Procedures and Information >>On May 14, 2021, St. Louis County Executive Sam Page lifted restrictions requiring face coverings and social distancing in most settings for those people who have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19, in line with recent guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The City continues to closely monitor the coronavirus situation and has a section of its website dedicated to this issue. +++ On the Wildwood Business Scene +++Local News >>>+++ Mayor Bowlin has signed an Extension of the City’s “Temporary Waiver of Special Event Permit Guidelines for Eating and Drinking Establishments in Wildwood” through September 30, 2021. This waiver allows Wildwood restaurants, pubs and coffee shops to expand outdoor seating and hold special events, and provides necessary guidelines and procedures for doing such. Several Wildwood restaurants have taken advantage of this Waiver, including Wildwood Pub & Grill, Benedetto’s on Main, Larry’s Tavern, Parkside Grille and Casey’s Bar, since its first implementation in May 2020.
+++ Heels Boutique opened their newly relocated dress and shoe boutique at 121 Plaza Drive (next to Starbucks Coffee) earlier this week and will mount new storefront signage very soon. Please help us in congratulating owner Jill Dunlap on her continued investment in our community. +++ The City has approved a set of plans for interior/exterior modifications for the owners of the retail building at 16917 Manchester Road, who will open a new pet supplies store at this location, with a café in a future phase. +++ Nicole B Counseling Service has submitted a new Commercial Business License Application for a new counseling office at 2634 Highway 109 in the Westridge Office Centre. +++ The Wildwood Business Association (WBA) is hosting its July Social on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., at Hidden Valley Ski Resort (17409 Hidden Valley Dive). +++ St. Louis Community College has been approved to place a proposed measure (“ Proposition R”) on the August 3, 2021 ballot to fund necessary updates to College facilities. If approved by the voters, it would increase the College’s tax rate by eight (8) cents and generate the necessary funding to allow the College to expand the Wildwood Campus and construct additional buildings for new programming. +++ The City has begun receiving interest from Wildwood business owners for the new Bicycle Benefits Program, which offers incentives for community members who bike/walk to local businesses. This program is intended to be fully launched in June 2021.

Departments of Public Works and Planning/Parks<<< Concrete Street Slab Replacement Program - 2021 >>>It is that time of year again, the City improving its public streets for property owners and residents. This year, Kelpe Contracting, is the selected contractor for this project and the tentative schedule is as follows (weather dependent as well): - Winding Trails Subdivision – June/July
- Winding Woods Subdivision – June/July
- Wildhorse Subdivision – July/August
Bolded and highlighted text reflect current work areas of the City's contractor. The work within these subdivisions will continue for at least another two (2) to three (3) weeks. Please drive slow and exercise caution in all work zones, so everyone gets home safe. Thank you!
Kelpe Contracting has begun concrete street replacement in Winding Trails Subdivision on Prospector Ridge, Red Rock Drive, and Shadowridge Drive. Concrete sidewalk replacement has started in the Windsor Crest Subdivision and will continue the next couple weeks.
<<< Asphalt Re-Surfacing Program - 2021 >>>West Contracting is scheduled to continue work in Wildwood this upcoming week. The asphalt resurfacing program began last week, with paving operations underway on Ossenfort Road, which should be completed by this Friday, June 25, 2021. Woods Avenue is scheduled for Monday, June 28, 2021, and then followed by Model Realty County Road on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. These dates are all weather dependent. <<< Other Roadway Work & Tree Planting >>> Foster’s Concrete continues its curb and gutter work on Evergreen Forest Court. This work will continue through the upcoming week.
Omni Tree Service has removed thirty-nine (39) dead Ash Trees at the intersection of State Routes 100 and 109 and will continue to remove declining Ash Trees throughout Wildwood.
Gaehle Contracting will continue trimming vegetation along the City's rural roads for the next couple weeks, along with other general maintenance.
T. Hill Construction will be asphalt patching Westglen Farms and Thunderhead Canyon Drive in the next two (2) weeks. |

Roundabouts, Manuevering & WildwoodDriving in circles can be a good thing, if it means you get where you want to go quicker and safer. That’s why the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is using roundabouts as a way to manage traffic at some intersections.
A roundabout is a one-way circular intersection that channels traffic around a central island without traffic signals. Roundabouts are a great alternative to a signalized intersection, when a high volume of traffic needs to get through with the least amount of inconvenience. While signalized intersections have twenty (20) conflict points, or spots where vehicles could collide, roundabouts reduce that number to eight. Fewer conflict points, combined with slower speeds and calmer traffic, can translate into as much as 75 percent fewer crashes. Because roundabouts tend to have fewer severe crashes than signalized intersections, they have fewer crash-related injuries as well. |

Families engage in workshop-style activities to address issues that arise, when preparing for this experience. A family workbook, family emergency cards, family fire escape plan, parent checklist for assessing readiness, and first-aid kit are included. $25.00 per family. Virtual Class: Babysitting 101This (2.5 hour) interactive class is a great introduction to the basics of babysitting. Topics include the business of babysitting, child development, and behavior, as well as basic childcare. Participants learn how to change a diaper, bottle feeding techniques, safety and first aid, and how to choose fun games that are age appropriate for kids. A workbook, first-aid kit, and a backpack is provided. This class may also meet Scout badge requirements. $25.00 per child. Summer Concert Series - MUSIC ON MAIN!The first of the Summer Concert Series is almost here - Friday, July 16, 2021! The band will Griffin and Gargoyles - Griffin and the Gargoyles! The start time is 6:45 p.m. Along with the great music, there will be the standard fares that have made these concerts the highlights they are to everyone. Hot dogs, chips, shaved ice, Kettle Korn, soda, and water will be available. The location is changed, so, for 2021, we will be down on Main Street, next to the B&B Theatre. Hope to see you there! Oh, by the way, here are few tips for a great night at the concert: - Coolers are okay, but no glass. - No dogs, please!

Also, please remember that if you cannot attend the class LIVE, you can still sign up and a recorded link will be forwarded to you for the class, which is valid for twenty-four (24) hours.
This class is FREE for Wildwood residents, and only $5.00 for non-residents, age 60+!
Tuesday’s Class: Senior Chair Yoga (Restore Practice)
Using a chair or a completely supported posture, this practice will target mobility and flexibility of both the body and the mind. With a strong focus on the breath and gentle movement, this practice will explore qualities of a restorative (restful) practice, a yin (longer-holding) practice, and yoga Nidra (guided meditation).
Friday’s Class: Senior Slow Flow Yoga
A meditative flow based on a steady, rhythmic breath, and traditional yoga postures. The flow will incorporate mindful, smooth transitions and holds designed to open the body and the mind. This practice will build strength, balance, flexibility, mobility, and confidence and is ideal for practitioners that are comfortable standing.

Summer is Here!2021 Family Swimming Pool Passes Still Available ...
It's Not to LateDuring the summer of 2021, the City of Wildwood will once again partner with the City of Ellisville and the City of Ballwin to provide access to their outdoor swimming pool facilities. Ellisville and Ballwin are making a very generous offer and affords Wildwood residents a great opportunity to ensure fun in the sun in 2021! The details are as follows:
City of Ellisville: The City of Ellisville is offering Family Swimming Passes to the residents of Wildwood, at Ellisville resident pricing, to The Edge Aquatic Center. The passes are still on sale, but the early bird pricing is no longer available. The price of the Family Pool Pass is now $175.00. The pass will allow families of four (4) access to the pool facility. Additional family members can be added at a cost of $10.00 each. The Family Swimming Passes can purchased in the following ways: Registrations for the Ellisville/Wildwood Swim Team and swimming lessons can also be made at www.ellisville.mo.us. Any questions concerning Family Swimming Pool Passes, the Ellisville/Wildwood Swim Team, or Swimming Lessons can be answered by calling the Ellisville Park Administration Building at 636-227-7508. Please note, there is not a cut-off time to purchase Family Pool Passes to the Edge Aquatic Center and Wildwood residents can purchase passes at any time throughout the summer.
City of Ballwin: A limited number of Family Pool Passes will be made available to the North Pointe Aquatic Center, 335 Holloway Road, Ballwin, Missouri 63011. Wildwood residents can purchase Family Swimming Pool Passes at Ballwin resident prices on a first come, first serve basis. The Family Pool Passes will go on sale beginning March 1, 2021, at The Pointe at Ballwin Commons, #1 Ballwin Commons Circle, Ballwin, Missouri 63021.
Beginning May 1, 2021, the cost of the Family Pool Pass will be $239.00. Questions about the pool facility or the purchase of pool passes can be answered at 636-227-8950 or please visit the City of Ballwin's website at www.ballwin.mo.us. Please note, there will only be a limited number of Family Pool Passes available to Wildwood residents. If interested in the North Pointe Aquatic Center, please purchase yours at the earliest opportunity. A photo ID and utility bill will be needed, as proof of Wildwood residency.

Vacation Bible School
@ Woodlawn Chapel Presbyterian Church July 6th thru July 9th – 9: 00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.Woodlawn Chapel, at the corner of Clayton and Strecker Roads, will be having its Vacation Bible School (VBS) this summer for kids 3 years old (potty trained) into 5th Grade. They really missed everyone last summer! They will be limiting enrollment to 35 participants. Many spots are available. Cost is $45.00 per child or $150 maximum for a family. The Open Space Council would like invite you to take advantage of a rare opportunity to Paddle Simpson Lake After Dark, in Honor of Wayne Goode. Support the Open Space Council's 54th Annual Operation Clean Stream Meramec Watershed Clean-Up as well. A limited number of tickets are available, so secure your spot quickly! Early Bird Discounts will be available until July 1st (see below for the link)!
There are two (2) people per canoe or kayak. If reserving a boat, you may choose a reservation for either 7:00 p.m. or 8:00 p.m., pending ticket availability. You will be able to select your time to paddle and plan your arrival accordingly, but all participants are welcome to stay for the entire event and enjoy music and bonfires by the lake.
Bring Your Own Boat, and general attendance ticket options are available for those who would like to bring a canoe or kayak or relax and enjoy music and refreshments by the lake.

Internet Access Committee (IAC) - Project Updates
FIBER-TO-THE-PREMISE - The Mayor, along with City Team Members, continue to work toward a long-term solution to the City’s internet needs. Substantial progress is being made and discussions continue.
The Department continues to define other options for internet service, which are identified below:
- Bays ET – Fixed wireless network service (original)
- Bays ET – Fiber-to-the-Home (only to certain areas – Hawks Rest, Homestead Estates at Wildwood, and Shiloh Subdivisions)
- Wisper Internet – Fixed wireless network service (original)
- Wisper Internet – Fixed wireless network service (new)
- AT&T Wireless – Mobile communication provider – Hotspot Use
- AT&T – Non-mobile option, where property owner or subdivision compensates provider for extension of fiber optic or T1 Business Line to location(s). Dr Rambaud can provide more background and authored an e-mail in this regard.
- Verizon – Mobile communication provider – Hotspot Use
- T-Mobile/Sprint – Mobile communication provider – Hotspot Use
- Other Mobile Providers – Mobile communication providers, i.e., Mint Mobile, Metro, Cricket, etc. – Hotspot Use
- Satellite – Different providers
- Spectrum (Charter Communications)
- Wildwood Workspaces – 16759 Main Street, Suite 205 (co-working spaces for internet needs)
- Gateway Fiber – A new company the City is contacting about potential fiber-to-the premise service

Download the Waste Connections App to access the most accurate and up-to-date information about waste services in the City of Wildwood. This app helps to understand service delays due to weather conditions on the roads and streets throughout the City. You can also setup notifications for reminders to place your receptacles out at the curb as well.

Available at City Hall - Main Street Level - Lobby AreaBring your expired/unused prescription medications to City Hall during normal business hours (Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and deposit them in the take-back box. There is no need for any assistance from the police. This easy and safe approach keeps old or unused medications from the environment and out of the hands of children. |

Wildwood Area Lions Club
Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids - Drop-Off Box @ City HallThe Wildwood Area Lions Club has a drop-off box at Wildwood City Hall (16860 Main Street, 63040) for used eyeglasses and hearing aids that are provided to others that cannot access them for a number of reasons. Don't throw them away - please donate - and help others in need!
The Wildwood Area Lions Club was chartered by Lions International and is a non-profit organization by the State of Missouri, circa June 2009. Lions Clubs support the Wildwood Area by providing assistance through actions and monetary funding. Lions International has 1.35 million members in 205 countries and regions worldwide. The international foundation has awarded more than $700 million for humanitarian service projects worldwide and provides disaster relief, youth programs, and help to combat disabilities, where needed. |

American Flag Disposal
Service is for Wildwood Residents and Businesses OnlyThe City of Wildwood accepts retired American flags for dignified disposal. Please bring worn flags to City Hall, 16860 Main Street, and leave them with the receptionist. All flags collected will be relinquished to the Boy Scouts of America for proper disposal. US Flags should never be placed in the trash. |

Shoeman Water Project No Longer OfferedCity Hall is no longer a drop-off location for new or gently used shoes. The Shoeman Water Project ended in August 2020 and, again, no shoes are being accepted by the City. Please consider bringing your shoes to a local thrift store. Thank you for your cooperation. |
