April is Route 66 month in Wildwood! Let’s celebrate our local heritage with a fun scavenger hunt!
Route 66 Scavenger Hunt:
The hunt is on for the entire month of April. Participants receive raffle tickets for exciting prizes, based on how many clues are successfully solved! You might just learn a little local history in the process. The deadline to submit is this Sunday, April 30, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Official guides are available 24/7 in the second-floor vestibule of City Hall and online at the link below. Wear your Route 66 gear for extra bonus points! The prize list is on the website.

Fun Fact: Did you know that on April 30, 1926, businessmen Cyrus Avery of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and John Woodruff of Springfield, Missouri, sent a telegram to Washington D.C. from their hotel in Springfield, Missouri, suggesting the name “66” be given to their new highway going from Chicago to Los Angeles?
