April is Route 66 month in Wildwood! Let’s celebrate our local heritage with some exciting events!
1) Route 66 Scavenger Hunt:
The hunt is on for the entire month of April, with clues posted April 1st. Participants will receive raffle tickets for exciting prizes, based on how many clues are successfully solved! You might just learn a little local history in the process.
2) Route 66 Outdoor Movie Night:
Watch Cars in your cars! The fun will take place Friday, April 14th, with pre-show events starting at 7:30 p.m. Bring your cars or your chairs for a night of magic and fun in Wildwood Town Center (corner of Taylor and Main). Come early for treats and seats!

Fun Fact: Did you know that on April 30, 1926, businessmen Cyrus Avery of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and John Woodruff of Springfield, Missouri, sent a telegram to Washington D.C. from their hotel in Springfield, Missouri, suggesting the name “66” be given to their new highway going from Chicago to Los Angeles?
