Have you noticed an unhealthy or dead street tree* in your neighborhood? We created this simple form for you to use to report unhealthy and dead street trees* whenever you spot one:
https://www.cityofwildwood.com/FormCenter/Public-Works-7/Dead-Trees-or-Limbs-Down-56
You can also report a tree by calling us here at City Hall 636-458-0440.
* A ‘street tree’ is a tree located along a city-maintained street, growing between the street/curb and the sidewalk.
This form will come in handy (unfortunately) because we are continuing to see the widespread impacts of the invasive Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) on Ash Trees in Wildwood. The EAB is an invasive beetle that targets Ash Trees and destroys their vascular system, leading to their eventual death.
We have identified around 900 Ash type street trees* that will eventually be wiped out by this pervasive pest. These Ash street trees are located in neighborhoods all around Wildwood, so we'll need your help reporting them when they become unhealthy or dead.
You can learn more about the EAB, the City’s plans to address the problem, a tree inventory map, FAQ, and more info on the City’s website here:
