The City’s consultant, CTC Technology and Energy, provided an update to the Rural Internet Access Committee (RIAC) on May 22, 2019, highlighting possible approaches to extending high-speed internet service to the underserved and non-served areas of Wildwood. This update and presentation identified eight (8) possible approaches to bring high-speed internet access to the rural parts of Wildwood, which is a major priority of the Committee and the City.

Additionally, Bays ET provided an update of its progress on a fiber installation project within the Hawks Rest Subdivision. Bays ET also provided information about potential costs, if this approach of providing fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) internet services to individual subdivisions were to be implemented elsewhere in Wildwood.
