The Board of Adjustment of the City of Wildwood will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 15, 2023, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., at Wildwood City Hall, in the City Hall Chambers, 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040, and via the online meeting platform (Zoom).  Written comments are encouraged and can be submitted via the City’s website until Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (CST).  All comments submitted for these purposes will become part of the record, pertinent to the applicable case number, and be promptly provided to the Board Members for their review.  

The purpose of this hearing is to consider requests for variances to certain Zoning Ordinance regulations or interpretations of their intent made by the Director of Planning relating to the individual properties identified below. Please review the individual notices of publications pertaining to your petition of interest for information relating to it.   To report any inaccuracies in the text or seek further information about these requests, please contact the Department of Planning and Parks at (636) 458-0440, prior to the hearing date. At this public hearing, the following requests will be presented to the Board of Adjustment for consideration and action:

I.

B.A. 11-23 Sam Reiss, 2704 Sun Meadow Drive, Wildwood, Missouri 63005 -

requests an exception to the Minimum Yard Requirements (General) and the requirements set forth in the approved Planned Environment Unit (PEU) Ordinances No. 8431 and 8951 for the purpose of expanding an existing driveway, upon the property that is located at 2704 Sun Meadow Drive (Locator Number 21U320051, Valley View Plat 2 – Lot 187), thereby authorizing a southwestern side yard setback distance of six (6) feet in lieu of eight (8) feet. This request is contrary to the requirements of Chapter 415.120 R-1A 22,000 square feet Residence District Regulations of the City of Wildwood Zoning Ordinance and the Planned Environment Unit (PEU), Ordinance No. 8431 and 8951, approved by St. Louis County Council in 1977 and 1978, respectively. B.A. 13-23 Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri, 1901 Chouteau Avenue, MC 700, St. Louis, Missouri, 63103, c/o Heather Donze -

requests an exception to the Permitted Land Uses And Developments and Supplementary Off-Street Parking And Loading Requirements for the purpose of maintaining a temporary gravel storage area and construction laydown yard for ongoing transmission line repair and maintenance projects in the surrounding vicinity, as well as continuing to provide, on a short-term basis, a secure off-street parking area for employees on this same site. This site is located at 18824 St. Albans Road (Locator Number 24Y630140).  This request is contrary to the requirements of Chapter 415.280 Off-Street Parking and Loading Requirements – General, Chapter 415.090 NU Non-Urban Residence District Regulations of the City of Wildwood Zoning Ordinance, and Chapter 415.070 FPNU Floodplain Non-Urban District Regulations. (Ward Six)

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment may also hold a closed meeting for the purpose of dealing with matters relating to one or more of the following: Legal Actions, Causes of Action, Litigation or Privileged Communications Between the City’s Representatives and its Attorneys [RSMO 610.021(1) 1994]; Lease, Purchase or Sale of Real Estate [RSMO 610.021 (2) 1994]; hiring, firing, disciplining or promoting employees by a public governmental body [RSMO 610.021 (3) 1994]; bidding specification [RSMO 610.021 (11) 1994]; sealed bids and related documents, until the bids are opened’ and sealed proposals and related documents or any documents related to a negotiated contract until a contract is executed, or all proposals are rejected [RSMO 610.021 (12) 1994]; and/or individually identifiable personnel records, performance ratings or records pertaining to employees or applicants for employment [RSMO 610.021 (13) 1994.]
