The Board of Adjustment of the City of Wildwood will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 20, 2022, which will begin at 7:00 p.m., via an online meeting platform (Zoom). The webinar will originate from City Hall, which is located at 16860 Main Street, Wildwood, Missouri 63040.  The City of Wildwood respectfully requests all petitioners and other interested parties participate via Zoom’s Webinar Platform. Written comments are encouraged and can be submitted via the City’s website until Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. (CST).  All comments submitted for these purposes will become part of the record, pertinent to the applicable case number, and be promptly provided to the Board Members for their review.  


The purpose of this hearing is to consider requests for variances to certain Zoning Ordinance regulations or interpretations of their intent made by the Director of Planning relating to the individual properties identified below. Please review the individual notice of publication pertaining to your petition of interest for information relating to it.   To report any inaccuracies in the text or seek further information about these requests, please contact the Department of Planning and Parks at (636) 458-0440, prior to the hearing date. At this public hearing, the following requests will be presented to the Board of Adjustment for consideration and action: 


B.A. 01-22 Tim Holladay, 215 Heyden Drive, Eureka, Missouri 63025

requests an exception to the Specific Yard Requirements and Exceptions for the purpose of constructing a single family dwelling upon the property located at 840 Forby Road (Locator Number 28W630201 – Bopp Estates Resubdivision – Tract A), which would thereby authorize the construction of this new structure at a twenty-five (25) foot setback in lieu of the required fifty (50) foot setback from the defined 100-Year floodplain.  This request is contrary to the requirements of Chapter 415.070 ‘FP’ Floodplain District Regulations and Chapter 415.090 NU Non-Urban Residence District Regulations of the City of Wildwood Zoning Ordinance. (Ward Six)


B.A. 02-22 Rockwood R-6 School District – Babler Elementary School, 111 East North Street, Eureka, Missouri 63025, c/o Kara Neubauer, Excel Signs & Design, 9621 Sterling Place, St. Louis, Missouri, 62123

requests an exception to the Minimum Yard Requirements (General) for the purpose of replacing an existing monument sign with a new representation (six (6) feet in height), upon the property located at 1955 Shepard Road [St. Louis County Locator Number 22V140338 – Rockwood – Babler Elementary School], thereby authorizing a front yard setback distance of zero (0) feet, in lieu of the fifty (50) foot standard.   The requested location is where the existing sign is placed.  Per the requirements of Chapter 415.400 Sign Regulations (General), this request will be reviewed by the Architectural Review Board on January 13, 2021.  This request is contrary to the requirements of Chapter 415.090 NU Non-Urban Residence District Regulations and Chapter 415.410 Sign Regulations for “FP,” “PS,” “NU,” and all “R” Districts of the City of Wildwood Zoning Ordinance.  (Ward Five)
