The contractor has completed the new culvert structure and much of the roadway approaches. Weather permitting, they plan to complete asphalt pavement, install guardrail, and stripe the roadway over the next few weeks and open the full width of the roadway to traffic.
September 25, 2019
The contractor has moved traffic onto the first phase of the new box culvert and begun construction of the remainder of the culvert. They plan to pour the remaining culvert floor this week, weather permitting. They will continue with wall and culvert top pours over the next few weeks as weather allows.
September 5, 2019
The contractor has completed most of the first phase of the new box culvert and will begin building the approach pavement so that they can shift traffic onto the new structure in September. After shifting traffic, they will begin construction of the remaining section of the new box culvert and plan to complete the project later this fall.
August 12, 2019
The contractor poured the floor of the first phase of the box and will continue working on the walls and top of the box this month. When the box and roadway work is complete, the contractor will switch Forby traffic onto the first phase of the new section to allow for completion of the remaining section of the new box culvert.

The contractor plans to start working on the first phase of the box construction again in early July, weather permitting.

The recent heavy rains have temporarily halted the progress on this project, but the contractor intends to resume the substructure work in the next few weeks as the rains will hopefully slow to a more seasonal rate.

The contractor has begun excavation work on the south side of the new box culvert. They will be working on the new box culvert and approach roadway over the next months, as weather allows, and anticipate shifting traffic onto the south side later this Spring. Please use caution when traveling through the area.
Project Overview
This is a project to remove and replace the existing structurally deficient box culvert located on Forby Road, just west of Spoonville Road and about 2,500 feet west of Alt Road.
